These new back-thinned distance image sensors measure distance using a time-of-flight (TOF) method. With high sensitivity in the NIR region, these sensors are suitable for applications such as touchless interfaces (for hygiene management), obstacle detection, shape recognition, and motion capture. They are available in a 64-pixel linear array, 256-pixel linear array, and 96 x 72 pixels.

Kentek has certified hundreds of laser safety eyewear products in accordance with relevant standards including EN 207 and EN 208. We have performed 3rd party validation testing for laser damage (2600+ test points); solarization and humidity (3,696 chamber hours); optical and impact tests (890+ observations); plus photometric analysis for pre/post temperature exposure from 190nm-11,000nm. This means we have the most extensive performance profiles of any provider of laser eye protection.

Opto Diode’s new UVG5S, an ultraviolet-enhanced photodiode with a 5 mm² circular active area, is used for detection between 225 nm and 400 nm and features less than 2% response degradation after exposure to 7000J/cm2 at 254 nm. Ideal for laser power monitoring and other high-energy detection applications, the device features 100% internal quantum efficiency from 200 nm to 365 nm. It is packaged with a welded cap that includes a UV glass window.

Head-up display (HUDs) and helmet-mounted display (HMDs) technology has been actively developed by Luminit since 2006. Currently there are two geometries used in HMD and HUD: substrate guided and free space. A comparison of substrate-guided and free space Augmented Reality optical architectures is presented in this complimentary white paper. Click below to download.

The Ray Optics Module is an add-on to the COMSOL Multiphysics® software that allows you to model electromagnetic wave propagation with a ray tracing approach. Combining the Ray Optics Module with other modules from the COMSOL® product suite enables ray tracing in temperature gradients and deformed geometries, allowing for high-fidelity structural-thermal-optical performance (STOP) analysis within a single simulation environment.

The Wave Optics Module provides specialized features and functionality for simulating, optimizing, and validating the design of photonics and optical systems in the COMSOL Multiphysics® software. The software makes it simple to analyze optical and photonic systems such as nonlinear optics, waveguides, lasers, fiber optics, holographic data storage, metamaterials, and plasmons.
