Tripp Lite intros trio of new cable management systems for data centers

Aug. 13, 2020
Data center installations using any variety of data and power cables connecting to rack-mounted equipment can mix and match the products as needed.

Tripp Lite announced three new cable management systems for guiding cables and reducing cable clutter in data centers, server rooms, and other IT environments. Each system is designed to organize and protect numerous types and sizes of cables. Data center installations using any variety of data and power cables connecting to rack-mounted equipment can mix and match the products as needed. System components, including straight sections, bends, and ramps, are sold separately for customization. The products also provide simpler data center expansion capability.

Tripp Lite’s product trio includes a cable ladder system for large diameter cabling, including thick power cables and high-to-medium volume cable bundles. The wire mesh cable tray system organizes mid-weight cables where high visibility and identification are required, and it will accommodate copper network cables, audio visual cables and lightweight bundles. Finally, the fiber routing system will protect fiber-optic cables from crimps or bends while separating the fiber cable from less-sensitive networking cables.

“Cable management is essential to maintaining efficiency in high-density IT environments,” says Craig Watkins, director of product management for enclosures at Tripp Lite. “Orderly routing makes connections easier to identify which, in turn, makes repairs, maintenance and equipment changes faster. It is also an effective way to protect cables from damage that can cause unexpected downtime.”
