LANXESS announces new head for subsidiary Saltigo

Michael Zobel, currently head of the High Performance Materials business unit for LANXESS, will take over the management of the company’s subsidiary Saltigo from Torsten Derr on June 1, 2020. Saltigo is a supplier in the field of custom manufacturing for customers in the agrochemical, pharmaceutical and specialty chemicals industries. Derr will leave LANXESS on June 30, 2020, to take up the position of chairman of the board of management of SGL Carbon SE.

Zobel’s successor as head of the HPM business unit will be announced at a later date.

LANXESS is a leading specialty chemicals company with about 15,500 employees in 33 countries and is represented at 58 production sites worldwide. The core business of LANXESS is the development, manufacturing and marketing of chemical intermediates, additives, specialty chemicals and plastics.

New CEO at Innophos Holdings

A new chief executive officer has been named for Innophos Holdings Inc., an international producer of essential ingredients, as part of its acquisition by an affiliate of One Rock Capital Partners, a middle-market private equity firm.

Richard Hooper, an industry veteran with 40 years of specialty materials experience, is now the CEO.

Innophos partners with world-leading health and nutrition, food and beverage, and industrial brands to create science-based solutions that improve quality of life. The company is headquartered in Cranbury, New Jersey, and has manufacturing operations in the United States, Canada, Mexico and China.

TrendMiner appoints John O’Connell as global partner manager

TrendMiner, a Software AG company and provider of self-service industrial analytics solutions, appointed John O’Connell as the new global partner manager. He will be responsible for working closely with TrendMiner’s existing partner network and expanding the ecosystem for accelerating the company’s go-to-market strategy. 

O’Connell has more than 20 years of experience in the process manufacturing industry. He spent more than 12 years within OSIsoft, a leader in operational intelligence and enterprise infrastructure for streaming data.

New general manager at MELTRIC

MELTRIC Corporation recently announced that Mark Broman has joined the company as its new general manager.

Broman most recently served as vice president and general manager of Arrowhead Conveyor Corporation, overseeing a global business unit focused on automation solutions for the food, beverage and household products packaging industry. Prior to that, he held key executive leadership and managerial roles for companies including Kohler, Gardner Denver Inc. and The Marmon Group.

Broman holds a master of business administration and finance degree from Marquette University in Milwaukee and a bachelor of business administration in finance and a marketing degree from the University of Wisconsin. 

Broman will be based in the company’s Franklin, Wisconsin, manufacturing headquarters.
